Megan Jendrick recently inked a deal that extends her apparel contract with Speedo through 2009. Jendrick, winner of two gold medals at the Sydney Olympics, has been with the company since early 2000. Jendrick is currently in Melbourne, preparing for the women’s 200 breaststroke at the World Championships.
Leisel Jones Partners with Tag Heuer
Joining the likes of Tiger Woods, Maria Sharapova and Brad Pitt, Australian wunderkind Leisel Jones has signed what is rumored to be a seven-figure deal with watch maker TAGHeuer.
The deal adds to Jones’ stable of sponsors which include two major endorses in the world’s top swimwear company, Speedo, and breakfast food company Uncle Toby’s.
Park Tae-hwan Signs US $3.2 Million Sponsorship Deal
This one goes into the WOW category.
It was announced yesterday (Korean time) that Park Tae-hwan signed a two-year sponsorship contract with Speedo on Tuesday.
The two sides declined to disclose the value of the contract, only saying that the money will be spent on Park’s training and other expenses for participation in swimming competitions abroad.
